Art at the Dovecote – Update

Here are the details of the Dovecote Redbridge Art Association Exhibitions in Valentines Park, as promised.

The FIRST EXHIBITION is now running and features the work of the Ilford Art Society with watercolours, oils, and pastels, and various individual photographers. This show will end on Sunday 29th July.

The SECOND EXHIBITION will run from Wednesday 1st August until Monday 27th August and will show the work of the U3A St. Teresa Art Group and the U3A Monday Morning Fullwell Cross Art Group. This will feature largely oils, watercolour, pastel and other branches of fine art.

The THIRD EXHIBITION will run from Wednesday 29th August until Sunday 23rd September and will feature the work of The Redbridge Art Group and the Redbridge Marquetry Group.

All the participants are well established art organisations producing a very high standard of work, most of which may be purchased at the exhibitions.

ALL THREE EXHIBITIONS ARE OPEN FROM 11AM TO 4PM ON WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS, SATURDAY AND SUNDAYS AND POSSIBLY ON AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY.

Remember, each month’s show is different, so please make an effort to see all three.

Alfred.

  1. I wondered where this Dovecote was. Just found it on the Valentines Mansion & Gardens website. It wasn't mentioned in the newsletter, so had to track it down.

  2. My apologies to all those art lovers who might be unfamiliar with the geography of Valentines Park. Clearly that was an insufficient direction. The Dovecote is directly opposite Valentines Mansion which may be accessed through the gate in Emerson Road. Emerson road,in turn, is at the Cranbrook Road/Beehive lane traffic lights. No excuse now for not taking a look at the exhibitions.
